I wonder what those people seated around Wilson felt, and did, immediately after.
Wilson’s opponent got a huge boost in fund raising. Plus, it provided the president’s speech with a res ipsa loquitur moment.

And six to one, Larson, says that you jumped down the Dixie Chicks throats when they criticized Bush.
Wilson violated Congressional decorum, he decided to be a jerk. And he lied to boot.
Your side has no argument if all it does is resort to fear mongering, hate mongering and says nothing but lies about what’s in the bill and what’s not in the bill.
And if Wilson was representing the people, child, he’d be for health care reform, not against it. It’s the Republicans acting against the best interests of the people.
They cringed. As though “this isn’t an appropriate response to his royal highness.”
Members of Joe Wilson’s party urged him to apologize. Unfortunately, Wilson felt compelled to call the W/H and do just that.
Hopefully, Wilson and the rest in Congress will strap on a pair of balls and start representing the people over party and President.
Well the whole birther thing is based nearly 100% on racism.
After all..they’re not questioning whether McCain was eligble to hold the office of the President despite being born in Panama.
I gotta wonder how much of this is connected with our history of racism. Would a white right-winger shout at at Clinton, “you lie!” in a congressional address? Mebbee…Or go on about deep conspiracies to indoctrinate children by urging them to do their homework? I don’t think so.
Can’t shake myself of the feeling that deep down they’re thinking, “I’m not letting some damn n****r tell me anything!”
And Eric Cantor was texting in the middle of the speech apparently.
