No, there is no doubt about their involvement. Evangelical Christian leaders from the United States were over in Uganda just as they, meaning the Uganda government, made that announcement.
And I was being dead on serious in what I said originally…that some of them want to do the same here. They are to Christianity what the Taliban is to Islam, of that there is no doubt.
I’m losing meaning in this thread. Is there some doubt abut The Family’s activities in Uganda, as documented in Mr. Sharlet’s book? (Granting that Rev. Hipple’s quote is made-up). Having heard Mr. Sharlet interviewed on Fresh Air and other talk shows, I found myself more concerned about the intentions and influence of The Family than I am of Al Qeda.
“The Family” has participated directly and proudly in crafting the proposed Ugandan law. We are using Uganda as an incubator to test ideas on how to properly conduct gay homo cleansing programs and rid Our Dominion thereof. Barry Soeterror Hussein Obama is powerless to stop Us.

We've been soaking in the Bathtub for several months, long enough that some of the links we've used have gone to the Great Internet in the Sky.

Not only no doubt, apparently no shame, no blushing — and no Christian thought or compassion.

The sad thing is that there are people in this country who think exactly like what Rev Hipple said, except they mean it seriously.
I worry sometimes about parody that is so subtle that the average redneck won’t realize it’s parody, Rev. Hipple.
Y’all must not get out much

Nah, that won’t happen.
Because quite a few Christian evangelical neoconservatives would dearly love to do here what Uganda is proposing.
