The Moon is in conjunction with Jupiter. The Leonid Meteor Shower will peak soon after the Moon and Jupiter set.
Oh, to be in the desert tonight, far away from the lights of the city!
Even in a city, the Moon and Jupiter should be clear, and near spectacular.

Moonset? Where are you? Moonset differs by location. Here in Dallas, it’s inconsequential for meteors, this year.

Since I write about the place of big sky and the time of no light pollution, this post made me realize that even the stars must have looked different then.
