Got a link that shows reducing spending improves education anywhere, any time? We’re not talking about big increases in spending. For the past 30 years we’ve been whittling down spending in education, on a per pupil basis. Nominal increases rarely do more than keep up with inflation.

The elusive link you seek might explain declining test scores — but more likely what you’ll find is that other factors influence test scores more, including the dedication of the teachers, and the hard work of the teachers.

Teachers deserve more pay, not less. You’ve not made the case to reduce education spending nor to freeze or reduce teacher salaries.

Alright, listen up, people. Our [elusive link between more spending and better test scores] has been on the run for ninety minutes. Average foot speed over uneven ground barring injuries is 4 miles-per-hour. That gives us a radius of six miles. What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area. Checkpoints go up at fifteen miles. [Our elusive link between more spending and better test scores] name is [demagoguery]. Go get him.
