Incentive based teaching? I don’t know of any teachers of mine who would have cared about incentives in order to gain job security or higher pay. Americans will celebrate when their favorite sports team signs a star for a multi-million dollar contract, but then be the first A-Hole to complain about the taxes they have to pay to EDUCATE their hillbilly children. The education in this country may be seen as sub par, but that is because we expect our teachers to live on salaries that teeter between lower middle class and poverty levels. Teachers need resources to educate the future of America, and that really boils down to MONEY.
