David, thanks for the smiles. Thinking back, you're right -- I recall a bunch of cartoons on ships, especially in Obama's first year. Forgive me if I don't look them up now.

People thought I was silly in primary season for my fond hopes that Romney got the GOP nomination, my calculation being that he was the most nearly sane of an essentially crazed mob, and based on my experience that sometimes the sure-loser pulls it out (look up Rep. Alan Howe and Dan Marriott, 1976 campaign, and see Mel Carnahan, Paul Wellstone, and Richard Obenshain, among others).

Now I fear that's all he is, is the least crazed of an unfit-to-rule mob. I don't need this grief at my youth -- it could lead to a life of cynicism.

"We’ve seen ships like Romney before" . . . but we have never seen a ship like the Obama. I look forward to the river barge which will bear his name.( incidently there are many a parody about this, just search USS Obama).

What did the HMS Romney do for America you ask...well it being British and all, not very much. Obama is of course half-American so our expectations are a bit higher than what you would expect from a wartime adversary ...only a little though.

Meanwhile Romney is giving the mighty Obama a fight of sorts. That I had Romney winning at less than 10% by my superduper internal reckoning, and he is now neck and neck the the 'sun-god' is heartening for all those who love this great country. Patriots everywhere will be praying to baby Jesus for deliverance from the usurping feminist homophile criminal partisan-ideologue Muslim alien red-commie interloper, and return this country to sweet Christian goodness. Amen. (Which is ironic since Romney is a Morman..... and hence, definately not Christian).

OK, Obama's none of those things- that i know of , I'm just reading out of the 'tea party' handbook ( hey they got him down as a homosexual and I changed that- see me nothing but just in me heart) , nethertheless he is ineffective , has the wrong policies and needs to be 'let go'...an empty chair per se
