On several Texas rivers one may rent a large tire inner tube, to float down the river on a good day.

Safety instructions sometimes are minimal, but effective.

    One joke I used to say with my climbing partner was, “I sure don’t know what my first words were, but I’ll bet that my last ones are ‘Oh sh!t’ when the foot hold crumbles beneath me.”
