How about another cup of coffee? (Global Warming Conspiracy)

Encore post from September 17, 2007 — maybe more appropriate today than ever before.

Found this on my coffee cup today:

The Way I See It #289

So-called “global warming” is just

a secret ploy by wacko tree-

huggers to make America energy

independent, clean our air and

water, improve the fuel efficiency

of our vehicles, kick-start

21st-century industries, and make

our cities safer and more livable.

Don’t let them get away with it!

Look! Someone found the same cup I found!

Luke Parrott has some worthwhile observations on this coffee cup philosophy, and evangelical Christianity:

Believe it or not there are other limits to the endless cornucopia theories of the consumerists than anthropogenic global warming. We live on a tiny skim layer between a ball of molten rock and hard vacuum. Most of THAT is not fit for human habitation. The bits that are left we are doing our level best to kill or poison.

Eliminate global warming as a problem and you still have Peak Oil, peak soil fertility, peak aquifer use (bye Ogallala) peak fisheries, genetic bottlenecking of agriculture and several dozen other problems.

Deal with reality or reality deals with you.
